Enterprise. A dirty word to some. It may feel like a dirty word to you.

And yet, it doesn't have to be all about money-grabbing, pleasing shareholders or making huge profits. So why do our graduates need to be enterprising? Why does enterprise matter, and how might it be relevant to YOUR discipline?

On 4 June 2014, USE Academy invited Professor Deborah Murdoch-Eaton, Dean of Medical Education at the University of Sheffield's Academic Unit of Medical Education, to share her wide experiences of embedding enterprise capabilities, and the concepts of enterprise, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and social innovation into the medical curriculum, drawing on a wealth of previous professional experience doing just this both internationally, and more recently at the University of Leeds.
